About Us

The credit union was founded in April of 1950 as a state chartered credit union for the employees of Thatcher Glass Manufacturing. The credit union was located inside the warehouse of the Thatcher Glass plant at the end of Walnut Street. The credit union moved to its present location at 302 North Park Street in June of 1980. In October of 1982 the credit union changed to a community charter, allowing anyone who lives or works in the Streator community to be eligible for membership.
